LawBreakers Closed Alpha Test Begins This Month, New Livestreams Coming Next Week

A closed alpha test for Gears of War designer Cliff Bleszinski's new shooter LawBreakers will begin in mid-June, developer Boss Key and publisher Nexon announced today.

The exact start date, as well as more information about the game's content roadmap, will come during the PC Gaming Show at E3 2016 later this month. Bleszinski himself will appear on the show, held June 13 at 11:30 AM PST / 2:30 PM EST, to share the details.

Sign-ups for the LawBreakers alpha test opened in April. You can read this post to find out how to put your name down. There are no guarantees you will get in.

This closed alpha period will run "intermittently" throughout the summer. Availability is said to be "limited," though Boss Key will add more players over time to stress test the servers.

You won't have to wait much longer to see more LawBreakers' footage, however, as Boss Key has invited some Twitch streamers to host livesteams showcasing the game's pre-alpha version. These streams will be held on Monday, June 6 and Wednesday, June 8. Gameplay will include the Overcharge mode on the Grandview map.

Lawbreakers--which is no longer a free-to-play game--is currently set for a PC-only release. Bleszinski has said that it could come to consoles if they found a good partner to handle the port.
